Windows Sideload Instructions

  1. Download your ebook.Right-click the download button below and select:
    • ‘Save link as‘ (Firefox or Chrome)
    • ‘Download linked file‘ (Safari)
    • ‘Save target as‘ (Internet Explorer)
  2. Save the ebook to your computer desktop.
  3. Connect your ‘Kindle Fire‘ to your computer. If you get the "AutoPlay" window, select "Open device to view files", otherwise open Windows Explorer and browse to the desktop.
  4. Load the ebook onto your ‘Kindle Fire‘.
    • Copy the ebook from the desktop
    • Select the device entitled ‘Kindle‘ on the left side of the window
    • Select ‘Internal Storage‘, choose the ‘Documents‘ folder, and paste the ebook
  5. Access your ebook.Disconnect your ‘Kindle Fire‘ and restart it. Your book will appear in the carousel as well as in the ‘Documents‘ section of the device.

Mac OS X Sideload Instructions

Connect your device to your computer:
If your device does not appear on your desktop or in the sidebar, you will need to download and install Android File Transfer before beginning.


  1. Connect your 'Kindle Fire' to your computer with a USB cable.
  2. Download your ebook.Right-click the download button and select:
    • 'Save link as' (Firefox or Chrome)
    • 'Download linked file' (Safari)
    • 'Save target as' (Internet Explorer)
  3. Save the ebook file to your computer.Browse to your Desktop and click 'Save'.
  4. Launch Android File Transfer.Your Kindle Fire will appear as a window on your computer or in the sidebar on the left of your screen.
  5. Copy the ebook file from your Desktop to your device.Copy the ebook file from the Desktop to the 'Documents' folder on your Kindle Fire.
  6. Access your book.First eject your Kindle Fire from the computer, then tap the disconnect button on the device. You may need to restart your Kindle Fire for your ebook to appear in the 'Docs' tab of your device.
